ABOUT OUR JEWELLERY

What does PVD mean?

PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is a way of coating jewellery by placing it in a vacuum chamber, and then depositing the target material, atom by atom, to form the coating.

PVD coatings offer benefits such as increased wear resistance, enhanced durability, and is used by NASA to enhance component performance and lifespan.

Caring for your jewellery

1. Use mild soap and water: Mix a small amount of mild, pH-neutral soap with warm water. Dip a soft microfiber cloth or sponge into the solution and gently clean the surface.

2. Avoid abrasives: Never use steel wool, abrasive pads, or harsh cleaning agents, as these can scratch or damage the PVD coating

3. Rinse thoroughly: After cleaning, rinse the surface with clean water to remove any soap residue that might dull the finish.

4. Dry immediately: Use a dry, soft microfiber cloth to gently pat the surface dry. This step prevents water spots or streaks from forming.

5. You only need a clean dry microfiber cloth for the 18k Gold PVD items, rub gently to clean away any marks or smears.
